Behind the Mask
On the dancing hall
Among many features
A smiling mask covered that face
Curiosity moved within me
To keep that one under observation:
The gestures he made
And the jokes he had
Everyone was pleased
Everyone had no doubt:
He was a witty guy!
The words he said
The advises he gave
Everyone was impressed
Everyone liked him:
He was a wise man
But to me he was my reflection
The one I used to be in my old days
Charmed by his character
I tried to get closer
He received me with courtesy
And while we danced
We discovered that
We were sharing similar goals,
Values and sense of humor
Our dances together increased
In every party we shared
Till our relation developed
To be more adorable and sacred
That lasted for a long time
It was after that period
I tried to reveal the mask
And it was too late to save the pain,
For the real face was
As cruel as never expected
To throw his blames
Upon my small figure
Accusing of chasing after him
While all I did was trusting him
But the real he was a big lie
And the worst that ever happened
And I learned:
Not all wisdom is real;
Not all intelligent is impressive;
Not all witty is source of smiles;
And not all sweet words are true
If that all comes out from disguise
